This week Safeway is advertising 64oz. Minute Maid Drinks, selected varities for 99 cents. This is stated in the online ad and the printed ad says Minute Maid Drinks with a picture of Lemonade. Upon shopping at the 1207 S 320th, Federal Way Store, I found the drinks marked at $3.99. When bringing this to the managers attention I was told only the Lemonade was 99 cents. The printed ad shows a picture of Lemonade. Sooooo I guess just be aware.

How to Store Potatoes

Since potatoes are on sale right now, (The best deal is 10lbs of Russets for $.98 at Safeway) I started wondering how to store potatoes. I remember reading novels where potatoes were stored all winter. I found out that potatoes can be stored 3-4 months under the proper conditions. They need to be stored in paper bags with holes and kept in in a cool dark area between 40-50 degrees. The refridgerator is not a good place since the potatoes can turn to sugar and turn brown. A root cellar is the best, but since their are not many root cellars in the NW any where in your home that is cool and dry will work. Is important to keep them out of light because they can turn green and become toxic.
